This approval reinforces Milliken’s commitment to sustainable flooring solutions by enabling easier reuse and recycling of materials whilst protecting sub-floor assets.
Manufactured and marketed by Circular Building Solutions Ltd, IOBAC Tab-It® is part of a collection of detachable fixing systems.
These double-sided tabs provide a secure yet easily removable solution for installing floor coverings onto most common sub-floors including plywood, concrete and as an overlay system over existing flooring.
Unlike traditional adhesive-based methods, which can cause costly damage and contamination, IOBAC Tab-It® ensures that flooring can be uplifted quickly and cleanly for easier reuse and recycling.
The sub-floor, often the most embodied carbon heavy element of a flooring system, is left clean and protected, without the need for expensive remediation, cleaning or replacement before the next flooring installation, and reducing both cost and environmental impact.
This adhesive-free installation solution supports Milliken’s N/XT life™ circularity programme, which is designed to eliminate flooring waste, preserve resources and reduce carbon emissions through a structured Reduce, Reuse and Recycle approach.
With embodied carbon accounting for as much as 50% of a building’s total carbon footprint over its lifetime, Milliken’s reuse initiatives include sourcing from Re-Use partners and Take-Back programmes that support social housing.
